Help your company comply with the new European Union regulation on deforestation. Compliance deadline: December 2024.
Schedule Free ConsultationThe European Union Regulation on Deforestation (EUDR) requires companies to provide detailed reports on the origin of agricultural products to prove that their supply chains are not contributing to recent deforestation after December 31, 2020. Companies must also prove that they are complying with all local laws.
This new regulation applies to palm oil, soy, coffee, cocoa, wood, animal products, rubber, and any products derived from these.
The compliance deadline is December 2024 for large companies and June 2025 for small and medium-sized enterprises. Companies that fail to comply with the regulation by the deadline will lose the right to export their products to the European Union.
To comply with the EUDR, exporters must map and document all producing areas. This tracking must be done using geospatial data from satellite remote monitoring systems.
Based on this tracking, it is possible to access historical data on vegetation in the region for each year and prove whether deforestation occurred after the cutoff date of December 31, 2020. Furthermore, the documentation and proof of compliance must be fully integrated into the EUDR global solution, facilitating review and analysis by regulators.
At RAMO, we offer a comprehensive solution for EUDR compliance. We work closely with exporters, processors, and aggregators to ensure mapping, tracking, documentation, risk identification, and solution integration are done automatically.
We collaborate with your local partners (aggregators and trading agents) in mapping production areas, including developing an action plan, providing training, and geospatial data to make the process efficient and straightforward.
Establishment of a digital traceability system that tracks the steps of the production chain, recording all agricultural partners, their geospatial locations, and the deforestation associated with their land each year, as well as all transactions made—fully integrated into the EUDR system.
Failure to meet tracking and monitoring requirements can lead to the loss of key markets.
Need to interact with hundreds or even thousands of small agricultural producers spread across a non-contiguous area.
Integrating information into the global EUDR system while following all established protocols.
Finding an accurate and robust remote monitoring system for the region in question. Africa is the continent with the least satellite data and the fewest companies specializing in remote monitoring in the region
We exist to help combat climate change by supporting projects and companies that restore and protect nature, capture carbon, and improve the lives of local communities.
We connect people, technology, and funding to create real and measurable economic, environmental, and social benefits.
If your company is not compliant by December 2024, you may lose access to the European market, facing disruptions in exports, loss of customers, and potential significant fines.
RAMO uses a combination of satellite imagery, local reports, and historical data analysis to identify deforestation risk areas in your supply chain.
The EUDR covers agricultural commodities such as soy, palm oil, wood, coffee, cocoa, and other products whose production may be linked to deforestation.
